We will meet on Saturday, 7 March at 11:00 a.m. in Vienna Rodaun (final stop of tram line 60) and hike together at a relaxed pace toward Franz-Ferdinand Hut.

The hike is generally quite easy and open to everyone. Everyone is welcome!
However, a solid basic level of fitness is required, as the trail goes steadily uphill for two to three hours. After a shared lunch break at the hut, we will head back to Vienna Rodaun, so the hike ends where it began.

Walking time: approx. 2 hours 30 minutes
Elevation gain: approx. 300 m

Hiking is particularly well suited for queer groups, as it allows time for conversation, getting to know one another, and exchanging ideas outside of typical meeting spaces.

TRANS(tass)TABLE: The Transgender Department invites you to a monthly get-together in a relaxed atmosphere.

On one Tuesday each month, we get together at the Gugg community center to chat, do crafts, exchange thoughts on trans identity, or simply spend time together.

Since the TRANS(tass)TABLE takes place as part of the Open Club Evening, we are not a closed group. This means the space is open to everyone — including non-trans people or those who are not out. Anyone who is respectful is welcome to join us!

 Entspanntes gemeinsames Laufen mit Lucas, Ina und/oder Kamila. Jede*r ist willkommen, die Pace ist entspannt. Es geht hier nicht um Leistung, sondern um Community, Sichtbarkeit, gegenseitige Motivation und einen queeren Safe Space, in dem man sich gemeinsam bewegen kann. 

Wir treffen uns am Samstag, 11. April um 10:00 Uhr am entsprechenden Bahnsteig in Wien-Meidling und fahren mit der S3 eine halbe Stunde nach Gumpoldskirchen und wandern von dort gemeinsam in entspanntem Tempo auf den Anninger (675 m) hinauf. Es ist natürlich möglich, auch bei einem anderen Halt der S-Bahn in Wien da zuzusteigen oder mit dem Auto hinzufahren, und zu uns in Gumpoldskirchen dazu zusteigen. In diesem Fall, gerne Bescheid geben (+ 43 660 2021099 oder per mail [email protected]).  

Die Wanderung ist grundsätzlich relativ einfach und für alle offen. Jede*r ist willkommen! 

Eine solide Grundkondition ist dennoch erforderlich, da wir in Summe etwa drei Stunden gehen werden und ein Auf- und Abstieg von ca. 400 Höhenmetern zu bewältigen sein wird. Nach einer gemeinsamen Mittagspause im Anningerhaus geht es wieder zurück nach Gumpoldskirchen, die Wanderung endet also dort, wo sie begonnen hat.

⏱️ Gehzeit: ca. 2:30 bis 3 Std. 

⬆️ Höhenunterschied: ca. 400 m

A mix of a comedy show and a thriller reading? That’s exactly what you get at Colin Hadler’s reading cabaret about his new queer thriller Firewatch! But that’s not all: together with acclaimed director and podcaster Gregor Schmidinger, there will also be a conversation afterwards about the representation of gay lived realities in film and literature. Gregor Schmidinger is a filmmaker and podcaster (Warme Bros) from Vienna. His work moves at the intersection of art, queer lived experience, and social discourse, shaped also by his perspective as a psychological counselor.

Teilnahme an der Internationalen Gedenk- und Befreiungsfeier in der KZ-Gedenkstätte Mauthausen

Am Sonntag, den 10. Mai 2026, organisieren wir eine Fahrt in die KZ Gedenkstätte Mauthausen anlässlich der dort stattfindenden Internationalen Gedenk- und Befreiungsfeier. Diese erinnert an die 81. Wiederkehr der Befreiung des KZ Mauthausen. Die diesjährigen Feierlichkeiten widmen sich dem Thema „Täter und Täterinnen im Nationalsozialismus“.

Die HOSI Wien organisiert einen Bus für die Hin- und Rückfahrt, um allen interessierten Menschen die Möglichkeit zu geben an der Gedenk- und Befreiungsfeier teilzunehmen. Ferner gibt es im Anschluss die Möglichkeit die Gedenkstätte zu besichtigen. Die Teilnahme ist kostenlos.

The NAMES Project Vienna was founded in 1992 by Friedl Nussbaumer and Brigitte Zika-Holoubek, inspired by the American model, with the aim of creating memorial quilts for people who died as a result of AIDS. The idea to document the stories of these quilts on film came from Brigitte’s partner, Barbara Fröhlich. The multimedia artist Petra Paul was brought on board to realize this no-budget film.

Standing in front of the displayed quilts, Brigitte Zika-Holoubek discusses selected panels so that the stories of these individuals are not forgotten. Friedl Nussbaumer also shares his perspective, focusing on the memorial quilt for Reinhard Brandstätter, a founding member of the Austrian AIDS Aid organization. The film also includes a conversation between Brigitte Zika-Holoubek and Austria’s first official AIDS chaplain, Father Clemens Kriz, filmed ליד the Church of Maria Grün in Vienna’s Prater.

Newly shot footage is combined with excerpts from historical film material and photographs from the time the quilts were created. For example, Peter Holub—who provided his workshop and materials for sewing the quilts at the time—explains why he worked on two versions of each quilt: a positive and a negative.

Find Your Balance – at Vienna Pride Yoga!

Immerse yourself in the world of yoga, an ancient practice from India that brings body, mind, and soul into harmony. In our fast-paced times, yoga is more than just movement: it is a path to inner peace, strength, and self-care.

Especially within the LGBTIQ community, we often face unique challenges—from discrimination to inner conflicts. The tireless commitment to equality can also take its toll, leading to exhaustion—known as activist burnout. Yoga offers a valuable counterbalance: it gives you space to breathe, recharge, and simply be.

On May 31 and June 14, 2026, Yogi Matías invites you to an inspiring yoga session on the Danube Island (near the water playground). Together, we embark on a journey toward greater calm and strength—with physical postures (asanas), breathing exercises (pranayama), and soothing relaxation.

Whether you’re trying yoga for the first time or have been practicing for a while—everyone is welcome! You don’t need any prior experience, just your own yoga mat, water, maybe a towel, sun protection, and most importantly: openness to rediscover yourself.

Join us and feel how movement, breath, and community fill you with positive energy. Together, we create a space of mindfulness, joy, and strength—for you, for your community, for your inner balance.

Are you looking to connect with others or share experiences in the cozy atmosphere of Das Gugg? Then feel free to join the Prime Timers, who meet every 3rd Tuesday of the month from 7:00 PM at Das Gugg.

The meeting takes place in the bar area.

Do you enjoy singing and love grabbing the mic? Then the LesBiFem karaoke night is just the thing for you. Whether you sing solo or in a group is entirely up to you. We already wish you lots of fun performing! :)

At the Bi* meetup, we get together roughly once a month in a cozy setting at Gugg (Salon Helga). Most of the time, we exchange ideas about various Bi* topics or queer topics, chat, meet new and familiar faces, and often enjoy playing board games. Everyone is welcome who identifies in any way with the Bi* spectrum or under the Bi* umbrella (that is, people who feel sexually and/or romantically attracted to two or more genders) — or who are still in the process of figuring it out.

Every Friday, the Open Bar Night takes place at HOSI’s club venue, Das Gugg.

With a cold beer, spritzer, cocktail, or the occasional cheese toast, Das Gugg is the perfect place to kick off the weekend with your friends.

So, drop by and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere among fellow queers.

The evening is open to everyone, regardless of age, sexual orientation, or gender identity.

Tuesday nights offer the perfect opportunity to connect with the community, meet new people, or simply enjoy a drink accompanied by (hopefully) good music.

Everyone who feels connected to the LGBTIQ community and/or HOSI Wien is warmly invited to join!

Lesbian, Bi, Pan, Queer, Feminist – these keywords take center stage every Wednesday when the LesBiFem group meets at 7:00 PM at Das Gugg.

Founded in 1981 within HOSI Wien (formerly: Lesbian(*) Group until 2022), the group has always met on Wednesdays and warmly welcomes all who identify as lesbian, bisexual, and queer women.

People beyond the binary gender spectrum who identify as queer and fall within the female spectrum are also warmly invited to join!

Why Queer Yoga?
There are as many reasons as there are colors in the rainbow: to arrive—in the here and now, and within yourself—to accept your body, practice mindfulness, and strengthen your immune system. Each yoga session focuses on breathing deeply, feeling every muscle, and experiencing the connection within the group.

Matías (he/him) and Florian (he/him) guide us through the world of Hatha and Vinyasa yoga. Whether you’re a beginner or have experience, they adjust to your level and help you perform the exercises correctly.

This is not just a space for yoga but also a safer space for the queer community. All LGBTQIA* individuals and their friends are warmly welcome! Come in comfortable clothing and bring your yoga mat—though some mats are available on-site.

Date and Time: Sundays, from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM.
(Note: Changes to the schedule or time may occur, so please always check the online calendar beforehand!)

Doors open around 6:15 PM, allowing you to change in peace so we can start on time.
