Memorial and Liberation Ceremony at the Mauthausen Concentration Camp Memoria

On Sunday, May 11, 2025, we are organizing a trip to the Mauthausen Concentration Camp Memorial on the occasion of the International Memorial and Liberation Ceremony taking place there. This event commemorates the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Mauthausen concentration camp. This year's ceremonies are dedicated to the theme "Together for a Never Again."

HOSI Vienna is organizing a bus for the round trip to give all interested individuals the opportunity to participate in the memorial and liberation ceremony. Furthermore, there will be the possibility to visit the memorial site afterward. Participation is free of charge.

a solemn ceremony will once again be held this year at the AIDS Memorial (Maria Grün Church in the Prater, Aspernallee 1, 1020 Vienna) to remember those who have died with HIV/AIDS.

A rose and a memorial stone will be laid in their honor. A quilt from the Names Project Vienna will also be displayed.

Vienna Pride 2025 will take place from May 31 to June 15. The highlight is the Rainbow Parade on June 14, where more than 300,000 people are expected to come together to celebrate and demonstrate. Other major events include the Pride Run Vienna on June 13 and the Pride Conference on June 6!

From June 12 to 14, the Pride Village will take place at Rathausplatz – three full days where community organizations, LGBTIQ artists, and partner organizations will showcase their work and invite you to experience LGBTIQ culture and support our causes! These events will once again be accompanied by many more activities throughout the city.

Founded in 1981 within HOSI Wien (formerly: Lesbian(*) Group until 2022), the group has always met on Wednesdays and warmly welcomes all who identify as lesbian, bisexual, and queer women.

People beyond the binary gender spectrum who identify as queer and fall within the female spectrum are also warmly invited to join!

Why Queer Yoga?
There are as many reasons as there are colors in the rainbow: to arrive—in the here and now, and within yourself—to accept your body, practice mindfulness, and strengthen your immune system. Each yoga session focuses on breathing deeply, feeling every muscle, and experiencing the connection within the group.

Matías (he/him) and Florian (he/him) guide us through the world of Hatha and Vinyasa yoga. Whether you’re a beginner or have experience, they adjust to your level and help you perform the exercises correctly.

This is not just a space for yoga but also a safer space for the queer community. All LGBTQIA* individuals and their friends are warmly welcome! Come in comfortable clothing and bring your yoga mat—though some mats are available on-site.

Date and Time: Sundays, from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM.
(Note: Changes to the schedule or time may occur, so please always check the online calendar beforehand!)

Doors open around 6:15 PM, allowing you to change in peace so we can start on time.

Admission: HOSI Wien and our volunteer trainers appreciate any voluntary donation you can make at the end of the session—all proceeds go directly to HOSI Wien.
