Attention: Program Change – Invitation to a Silent Commemoration in the Pride Village on Thursday, 12 June

For humanity. For a life in safety and without fear.

With great shock and deep sorrow, we look back on the tragic events in Graz. Our sympathy goes out to all those affected, the relatives, and the friends of the victims.

The Pride Village has always been and remains a place of togetherness, visibility, solidarity, and exchange. Especially in times like these, we want to use this space to pause together, to remember – and to give each other support.

Out of respect and in memory of the victims, we will deliberately refrain from the music program on the first day and design the Pride Village as a quiet, dignified place. There will be no DJ sets, no loud music. Instead, we invite you to join us in setting a sign – for peace, for unity, against violence.

On site, there will be non-alcoholic drinks, beer, spritzers, and food. We will consciously refrain from serving spirits on this day.

We warmly invite everyone to join us at Rathausplatz to remember together: the people in Graz, and all those who have fallen victim to violence.

A special moment will be the official opening at 7:00 p.m. with mourning speeches – and the joint lighting of a sea of candles at 9:00 p.m. You are welcome to bring candles (grave lights, LED candles, or candles with drip protection are permitted). Stand with us in silent remembrance.
